Pain of 9/11

by Princess09   Sep 1, 2005

I'm in a plane
and it's falling down
i don't know what's going on
and there is confusion all aorund

the plane is falling
and it's going fast
we hit a building
and i do not know how long i am going to last

my baby is hurt
and she is crying
like everyone around
we are slowly dying

i smell fire and smoke
and all i hear are screams
everything is going black
and all i see are beams

the light comes in
then slowly moves out
it got quiter
no longer does anyone shout

the pressure is great
and my baby is lost
we crashed into this building
at such a high cost

i want my little boy
and miss my husband
i only think about my family
and us walking hand in hand

but i an slipping
and my memories are going
i hurt so bad
and i think it's showing

i found my baby
and many others
they are leaving this world
alongside their mothers

some daddys are here too
and crying for help
who ever said men don't cry
this pain they have not felt

i'm leaving now
this is good-bye
with God and his angels
I'm going to fly

i love you world
but i must go
just remember 9/11
and all the pain and suffering it did show

    Very good poem M'Dear.

I see that your submission date was September 1st. I think this poem would a make a bigger hit if it was submitted on September 11th.

    "but i an slipping "

I think you meant "am". =)

    "some daddys are here too
    and crying for help
who ever said men don't cry
this pain they have not felt"

    This stanza was my favourite.

Wow great job on expressing yourself on such a terrible topic.. its just so true so many people were lost that day and all of us will never forget the day that the earth stood still and watched in fear as we saw the planes crashing into the buildings. And everyone i know knew someone that they lost or someone that had lost someone. So just a great job and i will def. never forget. I abs loved ur poem 5/5.
