My lake of tears (Love in sad lament)

by DarkLore   Sep 3, 2005

I seem cursed to be alone, to wait, to be parted form the one I love and watch them slip away...

My true love has faded from sight

And all I am has gone with her

The moon does this eve shine the brighter still

My eyes doth shimmer silver blue, as with tears they fill

Upon this empty night, I beheld the sight just there

I watched upon the lake of tears so fayre

Dreamily I remember, fondly her care

The waters reflects her smile to me, it keeps me from despair

So far you are from me now my love and I grow weak

For I long for the moment when next we speak

We shall seek the sweet converse of our love

Though words can never be... enough

Love shines from above upon our desperate plight

I wish that we could, I wish we might

Be Free to run away so far, elope!

Yet all we have is but a dream in hope...

My tears they fall upon the lake

Make fill and swell it's banks

I have laid fallen here a thousand
lifeless lifetimes, endless years

Waiting for my one so dear

She my true love waits to for me

Kept from me by fate

A deepest tragedy... a cold lament

My beloved torn away

Here I wait in endless torpor... a
stone upon the shore

Collapsed there waiting at my lake of tears

I shall gaze eternally into it's deep waters

To see her countenance again, to end my soulful fears

+-------------------------------------------+
I cannot be with the one I love because of life's cruel game and my heart just yearns in in the solitude of silence...
