Cat Feet

by Liquid Dreams   Sep 5, 2005

~*~ I found this poem that I wrote in 6th grade.

There is a home that's not complete
For it has no patter of little cat feet
It has no cat anywhere around
When you're sad; no one to lift you off the ground
When you are there you're always sad
There's no cat to make you glad
Someone needs to make the correction
Of no one greeting you with love and affection
For only one animal can do that
And that my friend, is the cat

They have no little purring cat
Or a bed in which the animal always sat
Not having one is such a pity
A sweet, spontaneous little kitty
All they need is a cat that loves
That comes from God, the Creator above
Someone please, can't you see?
They seriously need a cat indeed
So remember, folks, that no home is complete
Without the patter of little cat feet
