I am a Child but i am black

by Paige Maddison   Sep 7, 2005

A heart of red
And hair of black
What makes me different
What do i lack?
I speak English well
I go to school
Why do they stare
Why are they cruel?
I have good clothes
I travel by bus
That's what "they" do
Whats the matter with me?
Oh, I know
Its what i lack
A heart of red, but arms of black.
It's not how i travel
It's not what i wear
It's a problem to many
That cold, hard stare.
