Falling

by redscream   Sep 7, 2005

Why do they call it falling,
for I felt as if I could soar:
Being in your embrace,
only left me wanting more.

The years have been great.
All filled with joy.
For your desire
Anything would I employ.

From adolescence to grown-up
I have been in love,
with only one man
who was sent from above.

One who made me so happy,
just by being around.
Granted my every wish,
but the one that was turned down.

My wish for beautiful love
born out of friendship
left me feeling as if
wave had broken a battered ship.

That is why it's called falling.
For you do begin to soar.
Wanting something not to be delivered-
wanting something...more.
