Seasons Changing

by redscream   Apr 11, 2007

Forever and for always, that's what you said.
Your love would be with me, until the very end.
We share a bond, you and I, never to be broken.
A love so very powerful it must be shared and spoken.
Finishing the other's thoughts-at which we were the best!
You thought the beginning and I spoke the end.
That day in the woods, so dark and wet.
We chased the fireflies, but it was each other we caught.
We laughed and danced, stood together in the rain.
We cried and hollered, stood together through the pain.
We've shared our darkest secrets and made our memories.
We've been together through many years, but somewhere our love went hiding.
We loved and we lost and we finally loved again.
The battle of our strength has only just began.
I reach for you time and time again,
but you are pulling, straining out of my hands.
I don't see that sparkle that always lit your eye.
I'd walk into the room and always see your smile.
Open your heart to me again and help me see your trouble.
On your shoulders alone, they will seem as if doubled.
I want to share your feelings, and your every little thought.
I want our hearts together again, so tightly wound they're caught.
Let me into your world no matter what I may find.
If our hearts belong together then so do our minds.
I will not give you up, at least not without a fight.
I will have all the wrongs finally made right.
The seasons may be changing, our love hiding under snow,
but spring is sure to come again and once more the flowers will grow.
