The Eternal Dance

by PassingAngel   Sep 10, 2005

Give me just one last chance
To show you that I care

Ask me to dance the eternal dance
The one that we will share

No special gowns
No sophisticated suits

Just a little crown
Of candies and fruits

Lift me off my feet
Make it feel like a dream

Let our lips meet
The taste of peaches and cream

The music drifting through the air
The sound is just right

Dancing without shoes, leaving our feet bare
Looking at the stars, watching the moon light

I look into your eyes
And I see the world

I look, and my heart flies
It flutters, twist, twirls

Take my hand
And kiss it once

Floating over land
Just from this one dance

The stars, the planets, the galaxies
Dance along with us

See the natural sky lights flicker endlessly
As the stars cross above us

Your eyes are of nothing I've ever seen
Bluer than the ocean has ever been

Greener than the grass on the fields
Darker than the darkness that the night sky yields

Greyer than the clouds in the sky floating by
Browner than the dirt that mother nature cries

So when will you ask me to dance the eternal dance
The one that we will share

Just my one last chance,
To show you that I care.
