The Dance

Its just one of those
over rated dances
Where people act all stupid
Taking daring chances

Asking out the girls they like
And just wanting to get a date
Sweating over if your asked
Or if you asked too late

Then spending to much time
primping and preparing
For this three hour thing
Where everyone is staring

And they whisper petty things
about the date your with
or they whisper how you look
and create a myth

So why is this dance so special
I do not have a clue
But maybe it could be fun
If I went with you?!
