Yesterdays regrets

by Jessica Grant   Jul 4, 2006

Kay was just cleaning out her closet
A common kind of chore
But as she cleaned she came across
something sharp upon the floor

Kay bent down to pick it up
Just so she could throw it in the trash
Then she realized what it was
a sharp broken piece of glass

She hesitated for a moment
Not sure of what to do with it
Then almost out of instinct
Kay slowly made a slit

She knew she shouldn\'t
but she let go of her control
and as she watched the blood well up
Kay forgot about all her goals

She didn\'t care that she had stopped
Or that it had been months since the last time
Kay just made another cut
she was going into another state of mind

She forgot about all her worries
And for know she didn\'t care
But tomorrow Kay will regret
Her yesterdays stupid dare
