Patterns of Failure in this World Repeating

by Leah20   Sep 13, 2005

Guilty accusers
Accusing without the retention of what they've done
Tell me what, oh what has this world become

All the pretty flowers
Bleed and melt away
Now thorns and anguish are all that can remain

The season of death has come swift upon us
Would you lend a hand
Would you lend a hand?
If only for a moment
Consciously choosing to retain this beautifully false hope

Nightmares are coming
Prince charming riding upon them
Capturing them in intention
To regain again the lost retention

He's walking among
Stealing all of the young
Who can see the true, grotesque features reflected in himself

Not the corrupt
Nor the flames licking at the their heals
The innocence will not remain

As the world slowly fades away

I must say you are VERY talented. im very fond of your style and all your work. You craft everything SO well. This poem was simply captivating, the way it depicst everything beautiful slowly fading and then attributes something such as Prince Charming with such horrible traits is pure genius. Very well written if I do say so myself.
