Crying is its own poem

by Avrii Monrielle   Sep 15, 2005

A tear is the pen
The woes are sheets of paper
The trickles falling down are those sweet lines
The reddened lips of emotion narrate

Something makes us cry
Just as much want to make us die
It is so hard
To just keep up

This is when a tear forms
To write on about the woes
The red lips to speak
And the trickles uttered like a symphony

Why is something so sincere
Turned into its own art
This is what they wonder
As once again something hurts their heart

And those who won't admit they have a heart
Are hurt far more worse
Than anyone who decides to shed the tears
Before something inside makes them burst

If they could burst with laughter,
I would love them to
Instead of into tears
Leaving us wondering what to do

Serenity doesn't work
Fighting doesn't work
Self abuse doesn't work
Only living works

We must fight to live another day
Get rid of all the self abuse
Keep serene,each one a jewel
Get rid of pain's dark curse

We abide by our own hopes
Our own dreams
But when you're feeling blue
Nothing's what it seems

But this hand
Is offered to you by me
So you can live another day
Nothing's ever what it seems

I'll pull you out of your hazing memories
Take you away from problems of torment
Hold you close, shield you beneath my wings
You cannot live without it

And the crying should stop
Once there's a friend to talk to
A shoulder to lean on
Something to do

Caring friends can stop the crying best
More than you ever knew
