This Love Palaver

I'm staring at my phone hoping you'll ring,
This love palaver is a crazy thing.
You make me laugh, you make me cry,
Sometimes you make me want to die.
Still I love you, but how do you feel?
Something tells me I've lost my appeal.
Was it the tantrums or the fights?
Or the times we argued through nights?
Is this it, the final straw?
Can you not take the pain no more?
To lose you now is to lose my sight,
No vision of your beauty, your face, nor light.
Who knows if we'll live to see another day,
We can't leave our relationship shattered this way.

Oh how much sadness this love palaver brings!
