Scrapes

It's funny,
When you were little the
smallest scrape could
make you burst into tears.
But now you try and try so
hard to suck it up even when
inside your breaking down.
Over the years you've
realized that you would much
rather have a million scrapes
to just not have to deal with
the pain in your heart.
