Through A Rabbit's Eye

by Maverik   Sep 16, 2005

In my forest there are a dozen roses,
Too many to count in fact.
Each and every one of them identical,
Except just one.
No, this rose in particular
Has something special about it.
Something that no other rose has.
When I skip past it,
I feel an essence of beauty
Escape it's firm petals.
It was all good,
Until the day it was picked.
Some kids from the town nearby,
They came along and just picked it off her stem.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
I was torn in pieces.
My friends all thing I'll never see it again,
And sometimes I like to think I will,
But deep down inside I know I won't.
But I can always try.
