Autumn

by Zoe Blackie   Sep 17, 2005

Walking down the path
covered in colored leaves
symbolizing the end of summer
the start of Autumn, The start of my sorrow
The chilly wind wisps past my face
sending a shiver down my spine
like you did once
when we were once together
my pace quickens
a rhythmic pattern
one foot after the other
quicker
faster
a clear solid tear slowly rolls alone down my cheek as i think of you
how you left me
made me feel this way
my eyes shut for a moment and once again we are reunited
once
but only in a memory

Hey! I really liked it =) You wrote and explained yourself so beautifully. The poem has a good flow and doesn't stray from the subject; I like that! You are very talented! Keep on writin'!
