Love Thy One

by k i k i   Sep 18, 2005

Love thy one that loves you,
Don't fret when they leave.
Some way, they will come back into your arms,
Hold you closer then ever before.
Possibly never will this day arrive,
Gone. Forever. He's dead.

A man in uniform,
Came by one day.
Parents shattered, devastated.
To our deepest apologies,
For one son is gone, the other must stay.
Blackened eyes watch the hawk fly.

Dressed in dark grey,
Standing over him, the dirt, scary.
A ghost, seems so deadly,
Our son forever lay to hide.
Join the grave, flowers smelling sweet,
Saying goodbye, never weep.

A dormant willing to play,
Love thy one who loved you.
I know, someway he will come back to me,
Parents crying out the long nights.
I hear him; I hear his call,
And I know that he wants me to smile.

A beautiful smile in a grey outlook.
