Words

The oldest thing of man
Would be the words
The words that man first spoke
The words man first used

These words are used
Without a thought
They can be sweet with love
Or terrible with anger

The same word
Can mean many things
Just by changing the sound
You change the meanings

In anger your voice trembles
In anger it becomes harsh
Whether soft or loud
Anger will always sound the same

When sweet and full of bliss
Words can feel like a kiss
You hold them close
And yet you don't notice

We all learn to first speak
The old words of man
And yet we never notice
When the corruption began.
