The Life We Now Live

You have given me love beyond compare
Loving me for who I am
Accepting me with all my faults
Finding all the good that no one else could
Seeing things that have been unseen
Unlocking parts of me previously buried

You have given me the greatest gift
Your love and a life with you
You have put a smile where there was none
You have opened my eyes to the possibilities
I see all that matters clearly
I see our love reflected in your eyes

I offer you all I have, thinking it not enough
Yet you smile and laugh, knowing it is all you desire
You give me happiness and joy, all that I give to you
We give each other what we have always desired
Thankful for what we have and what we give
Perfect, our love and the life we now live

    Now that is what I call true love, to love someone for who he/she is.... beautiful and heartfelt write once again Bill. You always write with your heart and I admire that. Stephanie is a very lucky woman and you are a lucky man. Not many can say that they have what the two of you have. Bless your hearts.....

    I see now why you proposed because that ^ is what true love is my friend..not that I know by experience but from when I look around I see just what you described.. ..You are a terrific person and writer and you must feel so blessed to have found someone like this woman! I'm so happy for you....I'll continue to watch for your poems, I love them!!
