If Only...

If only they are knew,
what hides behind my brightness.
What hides behind my eyes, my smile, and my words.

I say I'm fine,
I say nothings wrong.
I never really let them inside my mind.
Inside my thoughts.
Inside my heart.

If only they knew,
what I long for.
My longing for someone to tell me, it'll be okay.

I long for love.
I long for that one special person, even though I don't want to.
I long for someone to come back, even though I know they can't.
I long for the rain to come so just something goes my way.
I long for him to hold me in his arms and tell me it's all going to be okay.
I long for him to love me like I love him.

If only they knew,
what I miss.
I miss my memories.

I miss her, my best friend.
I miss her more than anyone.
I miss her smile, her hugs, and her kisses.
I miss her voice and her caring self.
I miss my grandma.

If only the knew,
what I need.
I need more than what I have.

I need her back.
I need him.
I need someone who cares.
