First of all, it's great to see you are back.

I have to admit I am suprised at this. For some reason this poem is quite pessimistic and I was expecting an optimistic one. Still, it shows your range of ability with styles of poetry and you've always impressed me in that respect.

It hints at mistreatment and hurt, but doesn't show the full picture. Kind of like hearing your neighbours quarrelling but just not being tall enough to peer over the fence and see what is going on ;-)

But then, you'll probably say that this is "Just a poem, nothing to do with truth", right? hehe

This is a great poem to reflect the feelings of honest emotion and the longing for security which reaches a spiritual level.. I love it..

Hi Hayley, nice to see you writing again, just read your latest poem and i got from it the feeling of despair followed by a lingering feeling of helplessness finally arriving at feeling that all hope is not lost yet and forgiveness is attained by asking God for forgiveness for your sins.

a very nice write, many readers should get a lot of benefit from your style.
