My child

by Roulin   Sep 23, 2005

I have always smiled upon you my child,
Your jade green eyes touching my troubled mind,
`Your tenderness and charity- so tender and mild,
For the first time ever returned love I find.

Passion.
Trust.
Full of love and lust.

You are the star shining bright on my life,
Gentle soothing rain pouring over dry lands,
Take away in the slender cold night my knife,
Tightly clenched in the claws of my hands.

Serenity.
Peace.
My world for now at ease.

I have always held you dear my child,
but now you turn to me with eyes aflame,
You are manic, ruthless, uncaringly wild,
No more you have love, trust, care or shame.

Blood.
Fire.
Take away all desire!

I called out softly to you by your name,
but you turned to me snarling and slashed my face,
Forever I am emotionally scarred and lame,
My true loves soul is broke without trace.

Hurt.
Weak.
My child is a terror, no longer meek.
