Blacky

What were you thinking, when you left your safe home to look for me?
Did you really think that I wouldnt be back, that I didnt love you?
Why did you go?
Do you know how much I missed you? I cried so much, oh, I felt so bad,
And do you know how glad I felt when they found you?
Did I show you enough, how much you mean to me?
I hope I did.
Youve been to me the best, youve been my heart and my treasure, being with you was such a clear, comforting pleasure.
Oh, how I hoped I let you know, while you were there,
that I you loved with my heart and my soul,
I miss you so much, my cute, cuddly koala-bear.

Why did you leave again,
except this time you didnt come back,
No matter how much I pleaded and begged,
The sweet angel that returned you the first time,
Just told me to shut up.

Now every time I look out a window,
I think I can see you there,
Just my eyes playing tricks on me again, unless Im looking into heaven.

But I can still see you in other things, besides those precious photographs,
I also see you at night,
Imagine you gliding in amongst the stars.
So forgive me if I didnt tell,
I swear that I meant to,
My sweet Black,
I meant to tell you that I loved you.

*This is about a black cat I once had who died a few years ago. I know its not a very good poem. But it comes from my heart. I just wish I could tell Blacky that I love him.
