Gave My Heart Away

by juss an allycat   Sep 25, 2005

I gave my heart away
Too fast, so blind
Hoping you were true
Oh I had faith in you

Different from the rest
I was, at first, unsure
Special, you made me feel
To you, I chose to reveal

I thought we were going
Somewhere, me and you
To believe what you had to say
Has left me gutted today

You led me to believe
I was an object of your affection
You said alot of things
Leading up to that rejection

I would say, I took a chance
Down, let my surrounding walls
You made an unexpcted push
There was no-one to catch my fall

Gullible is a word you could use
Naive, is yet another
But personally i prefer to refer
Myself as being a believer

A believer in happy endings
Red roses, pink hearts, white doves
I'm normally doubtful in this genre
I just wanted to be loved

I gave my heart away
To the hands of the wrong man
This is going to cost me
This cannot happen again

Strong? No I am not
I cannot take what this brings
This is how my eyes see it
So this is the story I sing

That was really good! I saw that you had no comments or votes, so I thought I'd check it out. And frankly I think it's weird you had no comments or anything, I connected with it so easily and the rhythm was good. I really liked this, well done! :)
