Out in the moonlight

by Flying Phoenix   Sep 25, 2005

Calm across the field
The breeze rippling gently
Creating wave upon wave
Of calm serenity

Golden in the starlight
Eyes glow with a fire
Pools of deep winter
Awaken my desire

The harshness of your touch
The simplicity of your warmth
Creates havoc with my senses
Before the touch of dawn

Dazzling before me
Your skin ignited with the moon
I can fall deeply
Far into your lagoon

Close enough to touch
I know I cannot perceive
A way towards your centre
I can only hope to believe

Yet subconsciously I know
Throughout your very soul
There is no part alone for myself
No way to make me whole

You are not right for me
Although I feel great love
There are many signs before me
Below and above

Give me up you have
Because I deserve much more
Although I wish we could
Have love forever more
