My Cinderella Story

Glass heeled shoes,
Brand new dress,
He never showed,
I should have guessed,

I know who he's with,
Thinking of what,
He might have done,
Knowing he was with me,
Only for fun,

Make up smeared,
Tears in my eyes,
Sitting on the floor,
Wishing I could hide,

What was I thinking?
Why did I go back?
When trust in him,
Was what I lacked,

He cheated once,
What made me think,
He won't again?
And to think,
He was my lover and best friend,

Cinderella once apon a time,
Cinderella with tears in her eyes,
My Cinderella story was just a bunch of lies.
