Death tap

Sitting in the dark on my own
contemplating my inevitable fate
I'm going to postpone my suicide,
to yet another date.

Perhaps the next time i fall
when i hit rock bottom and break
the next time i completely lose it all
maybe then I'll chose another fate.

then maybe I'll go through with it
and fall into a bottomless pit
but until that inevitable time comes
I'll be waiting for death to tap me on
the shoulder and tell me my time has finally come.
