One Last Step

by Anthony   Sep 27, 2005

All they do is argue

She's on the verge of tears

They would fight like men do

Urged on by excited peers

Angry and alone

The world is hard

She leaves to use the phone

And finds she has no card

The tears flow

No end in sight

Her future unknown

She walks off into the night

Her friends are worried

They know how she feels

Her emotions are buried

But they're snapping at her heels

Some booze and some pills

That's all she has left

Together they kill

And steal her last breath.
