Where do we go from here?

by Christopher Liau   Sep 28, 2005

If I look in your eyes,
Will I get to see your thoughts?
Last time we said our goodbyes,
I left for another port.

Spend my days wondering,
What you are thinking now?
Spent all last night pondering,
About the last time we rowed.

You're in every face I meet,
Still taste you on my lips.
The nights in the sweltering heat,
Smooth skin on my finger tips.

If I return to you today,
Would I carry a ring?
Joyful to see you carrying,
That beautiful life within.

And I find myself thinking,
Where do we go from here?
Will our lives be sinking?
Or will we disprove our peers?

Form the three poems that I have read so far, I can tell your poems are exactly what I like to read.

You're on my favourite's list now.

"If I look in your eyes,
Will I get to see your thoughts?
Last time we said our goodbyes,
    I left for another port."

The second line doesn't rhyme much with the fourth line.

    "And I find myself thinking,
Where do we go from here?
    Will our lives be sinking?
Or will we disprove our peers?"

This was my favourite stanza, expecially the last two lines M'Dear.

    (")-(") Arrivederci!
