I Do It To Myself

If I cry I have to stop myself,
Knowing all along, you give me doubts
I'll give you another chance, so you can break my heart
Gotta be prepared for lies & shouts

You've let me down every time before
You give me hope, Thinking it'll stop
You tell me what I wanna hear
I think it's changing when it's not

You wanna change, & all my hopes for you
You truly want it just as bad
Your excuse is you don't know where to start
But you were never taught, it drives me MAD

You say you need me to help you change
I don't feel strong enough to do
My #1 goal has always been that
It looks as if I'm weak, but it's not true

Can someone tell me how you can help someone if they can't even help themselves???????

    Ok your poem was good and it got across all the points of your relationship with this guy. You also wanted to know how you can help yourself? Well i'll tell you what i've always done and it prolly sounds corny but it works. What you do is you think of this person and you think of all the bad things they've done to you and write them down. . then go back and think about how YOU felt when he said all those hurtful things. Then tell yourself. . "I deserve better. . .and i won't settle for this treatment or someone this lame!" YOu have to git an attitude with yourself to straighten up lol. But hope my advice works and come check me out sometime.
