Understanding Love

Love is very difficult
and hard to understand.
Its easy to find
like in the school's band.

Love is a beautiful thing
filled with joy.
Like a kid on Christmas day
playing with a new toy.

Being with your love
is a very good feeling.
Especially when you first meet,
you want to jump to the ceiling.

Kissing your love can really show
how much love you have for that person.
If your really in love,
you'll close the curtains.

People say a rose is the flower of love,
red like a heart.
But touch its thorns and it feels like
you been hit with a dart.

Cupid is the angle of love,
a baby in a diaper.
Get shot by one of his arrows
and you'll be ready to strike like a viper.

Just when you think you understand love,
everything falls apart.
Love can go by fast
like a go-kart.

Sure you'll feel bad for awhile
but just move on.
You will be able to find someone new
maybe on your front lawn.

Love is very different for everybody
sometimes good or bad.
Just remember the love you shared,
the memories you had.

You can start a new relationship
with a new person.
Maybe someday when the time is right,
you'll be able to close the curtains.
