My Prayer For You When I look for love, Love looks at me and runs So I say that’s it, no more, I’m done So I turn my head and I walk away But then I close my eyes and began to pray I asked God if he would send me a friend. Then he said open your eyes and there you stand Then I asked God can you make me smile So he sent you over and you made me laugh awhile Then I asked God can you make my pain go away If I tired to run would you let me go or make me stay Then I asked God if you would keep me from harm So he pointed his finger and showed me your arms Then I asked God If you could wipe away my tears He said open your heart and you will conquer my fears So then I asked God if my feelings are right He said stop trying so hard and Don't put up a fight So then I asked him but how will I know He said just look in your eyes and your true feelings will show
