The Bridge

by Viki   Jan 14, 2006

Standing on the edge, fingers clinching tight, one by one I was falling further from the light.

Words of wisdom spoken from above, you took my hand and showed me God's love.

Slowly pulling back to try and find my way, you held me in your arms as you pray.

Still on the edge trying to look ahead, "surrender to his will" is what you said.

Tears of pain and sorrow are all coming out, I see you walking down that bridge, while I was looking for a way out.

On the Golden path was the start, to come back from the edge and prepare my heart

Looking at those who have made it across the water, to give all praise and glory God to our Father.

You saved me from that dark fall, the tears finally stopped and then I saw

The direction I need to go is clear in my mind. To seek the heavenly father is who I will find.

Still taking steps to heal my heart I am just forever thankful you helped me find where to start!
