She Dances

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Oct 2, 2005

She dances with the dead,
In the moolit night,
A sea of glorious red,
Meets their furious bite.
In circles she goes,
Taking their hands,
Two and fro,
Dancing across the lands.
Round and round,
Faster and faster,
She won't fall to the ground,
She's got this dance mastered.
Now moving across the tide,
In gentle sweeping motions,
Moving through the red devine,
In her simple sea of notions.
But now the sun rises,
Beckoning them home,
So she advices,
They no longer roam.
They leave her there,
Sitting on the graves,
To await another pain,
On the dancing waves.

Wonderful use of imagery. Dancing has a long history of darkness and it is expressed well here. Love the choice of vocab as well it is lucious. A few typos but still a wonderful job.

    Moolit should be moonlit.

"two and fro" should be "to and fro".

"so she advices"... advices is the wrong word here. advises? advances?

Great poem, there's some awesome imagery here.

  • Oh my! This was great. The title really caught my attention cause I love dancing. And the poem.. well.. It was just wow. Excellent use of vocab, everything flowed well together. It was just great. No need to change anything at all. Keep it up! 5/5
