Forever, No Pain

by Flea   Oct 2, 2005

As I sit here at my desk,
I can feel my heart begin to break,
As the rain begins to fall,
As my body begins to shake.

The mist forms in my eyes,
As the blood slowly hits the floor,
The wetness on the grass,
The slick redness of my life splattered on the drawers.

My heart begins to slow,
The hail has just begun to form,
The gun drops from my hands,
I know this will be my last storm.

Slowly my mind starts to travel,
Back to the happy days of my life,
I can feel the wind has begun to pick up,
The pain becoming a sharp knife.

Like the ticking of my clock,
My pulse begins to slow,
The rain seems to be coming down faster,
In the distance I can hear the sound of a crow.

The bullet is still warm,
As my desk light begins to fade,
The leaves are falling from the trees,
But I can see the animals are not afraid.

My eyes slowly being to close,
I can see a rabbit hiding from the rain,
No blood I have left,
Forever I will feel no pain.
