Black Rainbow

by Grotesque Angel   Oct 3, 2005

I see the rain,
I see your pain,
I see a rainbow,
I see your sorrow

I feel the sun,
I feel the gun,
I feel the love,
I feel nothing above

I want to hold you,
I want to fall through,
I want nothing more,
I want to kill my sore

Rainbow, Rainbow
Why do you cry?
Is it because I lie?

Darling, Darling
Why did you die?
I know now its because I lied

Now your my black rainbow,
Lifeless and dead,
But the colour will return,
Once I clear my head

Very unusual poem, but I enjoy your references to rainbows crying. That is so original and neat! It was a neat poem overall and it did carry a sad, sorrowful feel to it. As regards the comment you left on my contest, I made an apology to the contestants I disqualified. I wish I had given them a chance to change their poems, too....I will definitely view it as a learning experience towards the contest. Thank you for your input.
