The Ballad Of Dundee

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Oct 4, 2005

I once went a walking, a walking in Dundee
I walked right up the hill-town, oh pity, pity me
I got jumped while walking, by these guys, these three
Though I knew, knew not these guys, now I cannot see

I once went a roaming, a roaming through the town
And where once I may have smiled, now I only frown
I was dressed in the wrong clothes, and so I got knocked down
Now my feet no longer take me walking in the town.

I once went a visiting, a visiting my mate
He lives in Lochee, you see, a place which I now hate
I met the eyes, Of a Mob, It got them quite irate
And Now Im dead, dead and gone, it must have been ma fate

And as I sit here in the sky, I look down on hell
Though some areas seem heaven, for the rest, its tolled, the bell
Due to the Actions of the few, Dundees rep has fell
But theres nothing I can do, Ive bid it all farewell
