Together

by David McIntosh   Oct 5, 2005

If god lets me in,
I will tell it to him.
I wont leave her down there,
Not all alone.

Put me back or bring her here.
I know that you know,
It's both of our fear.

We promised each other,
A long time ago,
We wont leave the other,
On this world alone.

So let us live long,
Until our days are gone,
Then together we will sleep,
And move on along.

What a beautiful poem of the ultimate love and devotion. If we could all but find this type of love, the soulmate of our dreams, then nothing else would matter. This really touched me to the core of my heart.Excellent construction and made even stronger with the sincerity and meaning of the words and especially the emotion that just seems to radiate with such power of a loving heart.
