A Song Stuck On Paper

by Renee   Oct 6, 2005

I wanted to put these words to a distorted beat
Where the guitar riffs drown my speech
I'd scream my lungs out until I ran out of air.
Just to tell you what's in my heart, or rather what made it tear.

But the drummer is sick, his hands are all twisted
and the guitar, well we've smashed it to bits
I would sing for you, but it's not what you want to hear
and my voice is lost in the many whispers to your ear.

So I'll keep these melodramatic words that make a mess of this paper
and hope it gets lost in a sea of love letters.
Love letters, that I hoped would someday turn to lyrics
but this music will never reach your radio for you to hear it.
