Teardrops From Heaven

by Aline   Oct 6, 2005

You mourn for those whom you have never known
But I, dear friends, I mourn for you
As I watch you search in vain for something concrete to hold tightly
Within the firm grasp of your fingertips clenched possessively
It is not something to be held within the hands of a human
So callous and cold-hearted
You ignorant fools, all of you!
You mourn for what you cannot see
The things you cannot touch
But why has no one taught you the truth?
It is so much more than that for I know what you do not
If you promise to stay quiet I will tell you
All the things I know
A love that is so profound and true
That runs like a river deep
Coursing through these veins
Breathing life into this soul
Piercing this heart with sincerest of inspiration
Without a spoken word but a simple breath
From lips as sweet as those that dance with love so endless, so divine
Upon the face of an angel whom I long to say I belong
Iâ??m afraid I must sit back in sweet silent restitute
Or I shall never have my angel by side
Holding tightly to me and to our love so true and real
As we sore into the sunset forever more and never look back
You mourn for what you donâ??t know
Something you may never know if you donâ??t stop chasing
But I mourn for the things that may not come if I continue chasing
Mindlessly and blindly after
A love that in the heavens breathes life eternally upon us all
I love you
Good night my dearest star lit angel
Come back again and Iâ??ll be here
Waiting patiently for a love that is meant only for the patient ones
As I mourn for those who hide in the darkness
From a feeling they deny themselves of experiencing
So boldly, I stand and say this to you, my angel
I love you deep within this soul
More than I can tell you with words
Perhaps a kiss? Nay!
Teardrops from Heaven are all I have to offer
