My Life in the Lord

The more I try to fill my life
With things of this world
I'm only disappointed and discontented further
I must learn to be patient
And wait for You, Lord, to fill my life
Material possessions bring momentary happiness
They cannot save my soul
You, Lord, are the only one
Who brings eternal happiness
Who can save my soul
If I just trust and believe You
My God, it is You who knows my greatest desires
You know that I want to live in Your name
And run from the things of this world
I don't want to fill my life with emptiness
Lord, if You're not there
That is all my life will be
I need You, Lord,
Won't You come and fill me up?
Oh Lord, come and fill my cup.
