Losing Him

by Ryouko   Oct 7, 2005

My heart is pounding in my chest,
Although it feels like it's been ripped from my breast.
The rain softly blows around,
Cold compaired to my hot tears falling down.

My mind is blank; I cannot think.
No one before has ever hurt me this deep.
With just a few words my world fell apart
As if my soul had been pierced with a dart.

The night he promised never to leave me,
But he lied, as I now clearly see.
In this grave he now lays
And I here must forever more stay.

I mourn the loss of my dearest friend
Knowing that while my heart may mend,
I carry his memories in my mind,
And there they shall stay until the end of time.
