Flying

by Testimony   Oct 9, 2005

While the old feathers shed I slowly become a new bird.
Stong like a rock and covered in His glory.
This Thanksgiving I look deeper into His word
and find that there's nothing better for me
than the time's my vision was blurred but guided by the unfelt touch.
More timely than luck.
He opened my eyes to where they were closed
and showed me the sign "no way to go".
He carried me out for my wings we're badly hurt and weak.
Later gave me shelter and aided my wounds before I was ruined.
It was then He started to speak.

"My child, I've watched u walk and stumble
till ur legs tired and stomach rumbled.
Yet u kept on pressing and I admire your courage and heart.
I was with you from the start.
At most when u doubted me.
But no matter what I let you go through
I knew you'd come to truly know the truth.
And not remain a mute.
That I am your salvation no matter how tough the situation
I will always come for you."

I laid there for a while to take all of this in.
Warm tears flowed down my cheeks as I listened.
I knew He was right and I was trickled in.
Misguided into this verbally false relation, the plot had thickened.
Now here I am sickened and distraught.
But most thankfully saved by the one who won the biggest battle ever fought.
So this is what I said when I began to talk.

"Lord, I know you hear me even when I mumble
Even when my heart is crushed and crumbled.
Yet you wrap me in your arms and gave me the stars
and showed me I was smart.
Assured me when I was in doubt of thee.
Regardless of what I've been lead to
Beforehand you knew what I would do.
And give my life to you.
You are my motivation even when they break my concentration
I will always come to you."

Now I am healed and my secret shall be revealed.
That God is my Saviour and I conquered my fears.
He showed me the sign "The way to go".
When I feel the least He is my most.
I am never stuck.
Even when my mind gets stirred surely I don't need much.
I have Him, myself and family.
Many thanks to be given than even heard.
Wise like a hawk and shielded by thee.
No longer vulnerable and hurt I slowly fluttered a better bird.
