Wings

by Anthony   Oct 10, 2005

You traded in everything
And got nothing in return.
The pain of the world
Is nothing to this burn.

You were my angel
But you traded in your wings
Only to find out that
It is pain the freedom sings.

My guardian, protector,
My only source of love.
Faded away as you
Fell down from above.

Compromise is funny,
It's a twisted little game.
But when results are bad
There's only us to blame.

Love you and I need you
And I just want you to know.
The love I have for you
Will follow were you go.

I wish you could come back
But there is nothing we could do.
Just know that anytime,
I would trade my wings for you.

It sounded way longer when you recited it over the phone to me...

    "The pain of the world"

I think would had been better if you used:

    "The pain of THIS world."

    "Will follow were you go."

I think you meant "where". =)

    My favourite line were:

"I would trade my wings for you."

    Un-effin'-believable!

    (")-(") Arrivederdci!
