For better or for worse

In love, they began their life together…
Man and wife, two people became as one.
Working with one another, much was done.
They were in this marriage, both, forever.

The children came, and added to their joy.
The love they shared, it blossomed and grew.
In this life, they were together they knew.
It did not matter if the babes were girl or boy.

They worked on through their lives as always.
The two became more as one as days passed.
They knew somehow, theirs was a love that’d last.
Yes, they were happy for all of their days.

Through sickness, through good times, and bad times too;
They held their love above the bad weather.
Passing through storms of life, blown like a feather
Their love continued, and it grew and grew.

I met them when they renewed the oaths
That set them on the adventures shared.
One look, showed me how much they both cared,
Their love was obvious, no need to boast.

My wish, my hope, my desire for the world,
Is that each one of us find the same love,
Certainly sent from the Father above.
One boy had to give, that was given back, by one girl.
