Well Isn't That Cute

by Kelly   Oct 12, 2005

No matter what you say
I'll always know the truth
No one will ever comprehend
Just how much I adore you

You're my boredom lover
You somehow show me something to say
And I can be sad or scared or tired
But I'll smile because you make my day

They say that marriage takes love for a ride
And very few make it out the other side
But at fourteen, my best friend shows me how
Some people risk it and deal with it somehow

You have to get sick of me someday
I'm already sick of my rambles
Yet you still laugh at the terrible jokes
And find a truth in the in the endless shambles

Poets and lovers sing of melting legs
And at fourteen, my far away boy proved to me how
He held me close and ignored the world for a second
And whispered in my ear, "You can miss me now."
