Haunting

by Aurora   Oct 14, 2005

A girl with no standards, who no longer feels pain. she tries to set boundaries then they drive her insane, she compliments herself at least tries to feel pretty. she lingers in hallways everyone looks the same. a girl who cant stop dreaming since it numbs everything, she imagines the life before people turned so vain. a girl now distraught, stuck in a maze, she cant grab onto anything because theres nothing to hold, everything slips through her grasp. not sure if they see her, not believing shes there. she tries to be normal, puts her memories in the past she figures shes lucky to be given that chance.
a girl who starts anew, attempting the impossible because everyone remembers and wont get caught in her problems, there all judging and hateful, even her friends who at one point were there.
A girl who feels invisible, such as a ghost, living her life alone as each minute slows. she ponders the facts, people are so cold-hearted and cruel, what did she do so wrong, what happened to her school.
A girl who feels weak and unknown, her parents are dead, yet her life she still holds, but deaths in the air. she drags the blade along each wrist, pale and shaken she watches the blood flow, sure that this time will not fail.
a girl with many unanswered questions, to frightened to show. why did she survive when she was in the car as well, why did this happen, who made this be so, why was life so unfair, why did her friends ignore her when they knew she was alone.
a girl who had her chance, but lost control of all she knew, she became the ghost she thought she was before, this time it was true, reality became clear, she had survived before because it hadn't been her time to go.
a girl who was emotionally abused, blamed for her own parents death. she will now remain unhappy, in disgust with herself, but let her rest in peace, maybe now she can rest.
