The Jump and The Land

by M MEM   Oct 15, 2005

A deep breath with arms outstretched,
Leaning so gravity took me,
The beautiful gray moisture above,
Falling and falling,
Bliss.
Black pavement full of shouts fast approaching,
Not too much longer.
Slammed into the earth,
But still alive.
Oh shit, it didn't work.
Oh god, oh god, oh god.
What am I going to do?
I'm not supposed to be alive.
But then all my worries were resolved,
As the pool around me grew.
Black went my view.
