Why do I still live?

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Oct 17, 2005

Never have I been closer
Than I am today
The knife it sits before me
but a thought away

All my hope has crumbled
faded, disappeared
So I just sit and tremble,
my heart it is speared

This pain, it tears at my soul
and with each new shred
I feel less like living
Wish that I was dead

To think that just yesterday
sitting home at night
I thought it could be better
thought it could be right

As they cascade down my face
these tears that I cry
I know it will be even worse
When they've all run dry

I wish her all the happiness
that I have to give
Now I know there's none for me
Why do I still live?
