The perfect girl

by joey   Oct 17, 2005

Upon every shooting star and falling eyelash
I make a wish, say a pray, and wonder how you are
You try to be so strong, but everyone has a weakness

An I'm learning mine, its you and your always on my mind
Seeing your smile I'm captivated with aw
Looking into your eyes I'm lost in perfection
Watching you walk away, I can feel my heart leave,
And as I'm entranced by desire, my heart follows you until another day

See, I used to spend hours dreaming of the perfect girl,
And I still do, its just I spend hours dreaming of you.

I'm patiently waiting, alert for any crack in your defenses,
Any breakdown and I'm there to stop your fall.

Sunset after sunset the sun goes down, but I'm still waiting,
Once, once I'd like to have the courage
Just to let you know how I feel
And I know this dream could become real.

You enjoy being alone, but nothing is written in stone
We are friends now, but you never know
I'm waiting for what will never come, and believing in what's not true,
I've fallen for you, and am waiting for you,
But your waiting for me, give it time, and an impulsive action
And then sunrise after sunrise the day will start
Where I feel the tingling of a returned heart
