He Tries

He tries but the harder he tries the harder he falls.

He goes on with life wearing a mask, his friends think he has it all.

He is sick of the empty feeling inside of looking for the special someone.

He gets more depressed with everyday, with every attempt, with every turn down.

He tries his best but its never enough.

he starts to wonder if life is even worth living.

He stares at a knife and then stares at his wrist.

He wonders if his life will end like this.

He asks himself should I try and live one more day?

He puts down the knife.

He crawls into bed and cries himself to sleep.

He wakes in the morning and goes to school.

He meets another girl a glimmer of light to a dark dark heart.

He cries when she says " I already have someone."

He falls deeper into the pit of depression.

He stares at the knife harder and longer than the night before.

He hears something inside him say "dont quit."

He wonders how long this cycle is going to last.

He tries so hard yet the harder he tries the harder he falls.
